Holes

My favorite would have to be the cut out picture with light coming through. Most of the holes I either made or found are small. Perhaps I only  thought of them as small.

// silhouettes //

They all seem very figurative which is what I think of when you say silhouettes.

// making marks with objects //

I found things in my room that all had different textures and pressed them in black ink. It was fun to experiment with and the results were interesting.

Quick Challenge 1

// I found odd circular shaped cracks in my sidewalk and colored it in. //

// And old paper box, i filled the inside rims with black ink. //

// Making lines going the opposite way on a sidewalk. The shadow helped. //

// An old plank of wood, I lined shapes with black lines and the ink dripped. //

// Filled in a crack in the wall and added yet more lines. //

// Ink dripping on the cracks. //

// The palm of my left hand has a distinct line, I traced it with black ink. //

// A frame with a picture of a frame. I added a figure to the picture then when I put it back in the frame i dripped ink on the inside of the frame. //

// Ink on the shapes of wood bark. //

// Debris Drawing //

I made dinner and was chopping peppers before throwing the stems out i pulled out the seeds and collected them next to them. The last two photos are of things that came from an old purse when I emptied it out. A coin, soda can tabs, a bottle cap, a mini plastic fork, a water balloon, a twist tie, and a post it not.

// Found Drawing //
A scarred aloe leaf I walk by everyday & the door to my home. Both pictures are of things I see every day, that no one else deems recognition to.  I always look at the giant aloe plants my neighbor has across the streets. I wonder if someone scarred it themselves. My door is real old and has a lot of  metal and woodwork on it.

// Shadow Drawings //
The top picture shows the shadows left by my favorite tree in front yard. The bottom and intricate shadow from a old gate from a house. The first seems more blurry, it reminded me of paint splatters.  The bottom makes interesting shapes and lines.
