Hansel an gretel

So for this project all I could think of at first was leaving trails of things everywhere. But I liked the idea of using the pebbles themselves. At first I was going to draw on the pebbles but the ones I had were too small. So I made illustrations out of them. To symbolize the trail within the story.

I had some fun experimenting with this.

Lots of carving with sharp tools. Ink...again. And printing with wood and ink. And drawing on wood.

My favorite would have to be the cut out picture with light coming through. Most of the holes I either made or found are small. Perhaps I only  thought of them as small.

They all seem very figurative which is what I think of when you say silhouettes.
